In late 2024, Kevin Joe was invited to an ANZ Bank presentation about Green Power and becoming a more sustainable business by utilizing Green Energy ie Solar Power.

Not much thought was given to this idea, due to the perception that Solar Power was really expensive to install. After emails to consultants Independent Energy Ltd, it is was surprisingly very cost efficient. The plan was set in motion, as in any manufacturing business, power is a major contribution to costs.

In late 2025 the Contractors installed the roof mounted Solar PV System with minimal infrastructure disruption. The system consists of 232 panels producing a potential 137kwh of power in optimal conditions.

The financial benefits have been straightforward, we’re saving on the cost of power long term, which is only going to get more expensive. Plus, we get to sell the power back into the grid when not operational.

Perfect timing for using Solar Power to run our Rubbish Bag Blow Film Machines and Bag Cutters to produce rubbish bags as its a more eco-friendly approach to future proof the business against rising energy prices and meet customer’s expectations for a more eco- friendly rubbish bag.
